Akaki Village meeting

Akaki village is joining the #YouthForRoadSafety campaign in a dynamic way, following a constructive meeting and discussion with the campaign team. The local response was especially positive, with strong interest from both young people and local community, creating the ideal conditions for meaningful collaboration.

Akaki will serve as a key reference point for the region, with participation extending to youth from neighboring communities, further enhancing the regional impact of the campaign’s activities. This new addition reinforces the campaign’s mission of prevention, education, and awareness around safe driving and the proper use of motorcycles.

As part of the 2025 #TogetherWeCanGoFar campaign, another meaningful educational initiative took place in the community of Akaki, with the participation of young people from Akaki, Deneia, and Kokkinotrimithia.

The event was hosted at the Community Council’s event hall, which fully supported the effort and provided all necessary resources for its successful implementation.

The seminar focused on road safety and youth delinquency, two key pillars of the program. Participants received reflective strips provided by the Cyprus Police Traffic Department, enhancing their visibility on the road and emphasizing the importance of prevention at all hours of the day. In addition, protective gear was raffled off, rewarding active participation and promoting a culture of safety among young motorcyclists.
